In 2001, El Centro de Libertad opened The Lighthouse, a
clean and sober living facility for adult men in recovery. The Lighthouse
accepts men working on their recovery from addiction. Participants are required
to attend 12-step support group meetings, demonstrate
a continued commitment to sobriety, and follow the house rules. This is a
workingmen's house and residents are expected to have a job.
The Lighthouse is a recovery-oriented, transitional facility.
A house manager assures compliance with house rules, and, in the case of
court-referred clients, advises the referral agency of any violations.
The Lighthouse accepts referrals from Probation, the Courts,
the Police Department, support groups, and other recovery programs. Prospective
residents interested in moving into the facility may also call El Centro
directly.
The Lighthouse is located in Half Moon Bay and can house
10 men.
Cost: $750.00 per month for residence only.
